Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Bastion Communications collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with our website and services.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, work email, phone number, company, and the contents of forms you submit (documentation requests, information requests, mailing-list signups, and chat messages).
We also collect limited technical information automatically, including a hashed form of your IP address, browser user-agent, and the page from which you submitted a request. This supports security, fraud prevention, and rate limiting.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Respond to your requests and deliver the documents or information you ask for;
- Operate, secure, and improve our website and services;
- Send you communications you have consented to receive, such as product updates and compliance guidance;
- Maintain records of consent for legal and regulatory compliance; and
- Detect, prevent, and address security incidents, fraud, and abuse.
Consent records
When you opt in to email or text communications, we store the exact wording you agreed to, a cryptographic hash of that wording, the version, and a timestamp. This lets us demonstrate precisely what was disclosed and when.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf (for example, email delivery and infrastructure providers), and only as needed to provide our services or comply with law.
Mobile phone numbers and text-messaging consent are handled under our SMS Privacy Policy and are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
We may disclose information where required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Bastion Communications, our users, or others.
Cookies and analytics
Our site uses the cookies necessary for it to function. With your consent, we also use PostHog for product analytics to understand how the site is used and improve it; when you accept, PostHog sets a single first-party cookie. We do not use third-party or advertising cookies.
You can accept or decline analytics from our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link in the site footer. If you decline, no analytics cookie is set.
Data security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at legal@bastioncommunications.com.
Children's privacy
Our services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date, and material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
